I was given the assignment of creating a Frito-Lay shipping box with an added prize in it for shoppers who purchased a party pack of products online. I decided why not make the box the prize, turning it into a paper football game that can be played by everyone at their party. Design was templated for 5 different NFL teams, and was sold on Amazon.com - selling out in just a week. A fun project.
Super excited to get this assignment to create a multipack that screamed halloween. I was fortunate to have my first concept being selected by the client - a hungry jack-o-lantern! The original sketch was carried through from comp to the store shelf for halloween in grocery stores.
Our team was tasked with creating a custom package design exclusive to Walmart. Since there was a bag created with the character shown on it, we thought why not make the entire bag Spider Man's mask! Fortunately because it was for Walmart, the brand allowed us to reduce & re-position the Doritos logo to pull the "mask bag" off.
A really interesting project, having to create a pair of designs that worked both in daylight and night. Not to mention getting it approved by both Doritos and the movie company. First time using glow-in-the-dark ink on a bag.
The only piece here that did not make it all the way to production - but it was a finalist. I had a lot of fun making these and playing with some of the original brand elements.
The success of the first Amazon party pack box lead to this one for Walmart. Giving it a unique and more graphic look the outside while giving off a more authentic gameday feel inside, completely with a perforated goalpost and paper football on a sheet inside.. Enjoyed the engineering of this.
